"Trust issues” is a term thrown around casually, often to indicate when someone displays habitual behaviors of distrust, particularly in intimate relationships.

For some of us trust issues goes beyond intimate relationships. I had to rearrange my mind not to trust anyone completely. I'm at the level where I say "if it happens fine, if it doesn't fine" and also hoping the person doesn't prove me right. I love to verify things on my own before I would accept what someone is saying all because of trust issues. I go as far as reminding that person about that, when I should be trusting the person, all because of trust issues.

Most times I just want to trust this person about something trivial and I get proven that its better not to trust.

I can be very out spoken but I never talk about my trust issues. I feel trust is supposed to come natural from we humans, we should not always give people reason to doubt us. "Oh I know this person, he/she will disappoint you better not put your trust so as to ease the pain that is likely to come"

I might be wrong but I know I make a conscious effort to be trust worthy. I love to hear things like 'concerning this, you can trust her. oh she is a trust worthy person, I can bet on my life she would come through'. There are some persons none of these can be said about them and they are OK by it. Some choose the "it's not that deep" to mask their distrustful act.

Why don't we make it a habit to be trust worthy in all our dealings and doings???
